Gathering is pleased to announce our participation in Art Düsseldorf for the first time with a selection of works from ADA, Stefan Brüggemann, Soojin Kang, Tamara K.E. and Sibylle Ruppert.

Two works from Soojin Kang made from cement and metal, as well as raw silk, cotton, linen and jute highlight the artist’s masterful and experimental handle on the sculptural potential of woven materials. The works showcase Kang’s interest in the poetic space between softness and rigidity, the organic and industrial, through combining textile and concrete to create sculptures that effortlessly blur these boundaries.

Sibylle Ruppert’s inclusion in the fair with her work, Ringkämpfer, coincides with a solo exhibition of her work at Gathering Cologne, the inaugural exhibition since its opening. Informed by the transgressive writings of Marquis de Sade, Lautréamont, and Georges Bataille, Ruppert’s works transform themes of desire, decay, and the grotesque into an uncompromising, visionary visual language.
